PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is a popular multiplayer online battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of Krafton. It was first released in March 2017 for Microsoft Windows, and later expanded to other platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and Stadia.
In PUBG, up to 100 players are dropped onto a large map, and they must scavenge for weapons, equipment, and vehicles to eliminate other players and become the last person or team standing. The game incorporates elements of survival, exploration, and shooting, creating an intense and competitive gameplay experience.
The game offers different modes, including solo, duo, and team-based matches, where players can choose to play alone or team up with friends. The map size and available weapons and equipment vary depending on the game mode selected. The playable area of the map shrinks over time, forcing players into closer proximity and increasing the likelihood of encounters.
PUBG gained immense popularity worldwide and became one of the most successful battle royale games. It has a large player base and has organized numerous competitive esports tournaments at both regional and international levels.
